How to increase internal memory in android mobile and tablet

Hello friends I m here with New trick. This will help you to increase internal memory of your android mobile. Because some mobiles are comes with reserve internal memory. There is no option to install app in memory card. So you are unable to install more apps and you have to uninstall other apps. To solve this problem try this method.

  • Download and install Link2sd from playstore. Its free
  • Now you need to create partition of your sdcard.
  • To create partition use PC and download minitool partition wizard software.
  • Open minitool partition wizard and select your memory card to create partition.
  • To create partition backup your data from sdcard to pc.
  • now delete partition of your sdcard and create New partition.
  • Right click on unallocated space and choose create. A New window will open saying "create New partition".
  • Select "primary" in create as, choose file system as "FAT32". And enter the size for sdcard data which you will use to store data like song,picture,videos etc. And clicj on ok.
  • Now you will see two partitions of your sbcard one is FAT32 and other is "unallocated".
  • So now right click on unallocated space and Select create. Now select Create as: "primary" and filesystem as: "ext2". And select available size and click on ok.
  • Now you have two partitions in your sdcard. One is fat32 and other is ext2.
  • Click on apply button on the top of the screen.
  • it will take some time and done.
Watch screenshots for instructions below.
  • After creating partitions insert sdcard into your mobile and Open link2sd.
  • It will ask for superuser permissions so grant superuser permissions and it will show you a window to select partition.
  • select ext2 in that window and it will process a script to use that partition as internal memory. After few seconds it will show success. Please reboot your mobile.
  • Reboot your mobile. And done.
  • Now open link2sd to move already installed apps in sdcard partition.
  • Select app that you want to move to external sd card and choose create link. So it will move your apps to sdcard.
  • For automatically move future apps select automatically create link.
  • Done.

So you all think that why I have created two partitions and second partition is created as ext2 format. So in link2sd you have to select ext2 file format. Because android is linux and it supports only ext2,ext3,ext4 it doesnt support NTFS fike system as default file system. And ext2 is faster t

han ext3 and ext4,  therefore we have choose ext2 partition.
so when we install app it will goto that partition of your sdcard and doesnt use internal space of your mobile.

How to Pick Your Default Apps and Reset Them

How to Pick Your Default Apps and Reset Them

One of the great benefits of using an open operating system like Android is the ability to customize it the way you want. You can change the default font to your favorite one, use a third party launcher and even install a new skin on your device without much trouble.
Android also allows you to select the application that should complete an action for you. Indeed, if there are several applications that can, let’s say, play music files, Android will ask you which one you would rather use, be it for this time or all future files. In this post, we will show you how to select these applications and how to undo this selection to reset your default apps.

Like Us On Facebook
Picking Your Default Apps
If you have more than just one application on your device that supports a specific file type, you will be prompted to select which one you would like to use to open your file. This choice can be set to be permanent, in which case your device won’t ask you about it anymore, or a one-time selection. The latter simply means you’ll be asked the same question next time you open the same file type.
When several apps can open a file, Android will ask you which one you'd like to use
When several apps can open a file, Android will ask you which one you’d like to use
Let’s take a concrete example: On my Galaxy Note II, Google’s Play Music, Samsung’s Touchwiz Music and ES Music Player can play music files. When I open an audio file, my phone lets me select which application I would rather use to play the file. I have personally chosen not to set a default application, because I manually open the music player when I want to listen to my music, and not the file directly.
Nevertheless, I particularly dislike Samsung’s default Gallery application, which I have replaced with QuickPic. In order to do so, I had to set QuickPic as my default application for photos. Thankfully, the process is particularly easy, as you simply have to select Always after you select the app to open your file, and your device will remember your choice and won’t ask you again.
Similarly, I’ve selected Google Chrome to be my default browser instead of Samsung’s and I also had to tell Android to open all web pages with Chrome. For browsers, you may be prompted several times, as Android will recognize protocols — https:// etc — in addition to file types, which is why you may have to confirm your selection more than just once.

Resetting Your Selection

What happens if you try a new app and end up liking it more than your current browser? You would need to reset the default application before setting the new one as your default browser. The process is fairly simple, but somehow different from the approach you may be used to on your computer. Indeed, while most people are used to having a specific file type being associated to an application, Android associates an application with a file type. In simpler terms, this means that if you want to reset your default browser, you would need to reset the application settings for your current browser. Here’s how to do it:
    • Go to your Android Settings
    • Select Applications
    • Select the application that is currently set to open a file type — for example, Google Chrome
    • Scroll down to Launch by default and tap Clear defaults
    • You’re all set. Next time you open a web page or an HTML file, you’ll be asked to select your preferred browser.
Be careful, if your app is associated with several file types, they will all be reset. This holds particularly true for media players, as they can play audio and video files.
You can reset the Launch by default settings in the Application Manager
You can reset the Launch by default settings in the Application Manager

Wrapping Up

Thanks to Android, it’s easy to use several apps and select which one to use when opening a file. This allows for more flexibility, as some applications are more complete but take longer to load. Of course, if you’d like to stick to a single application, you can easily set your device to open a specific file type using that app. In both cases, you can truly customize your system and environment according to your preference and needs.

How To Save On Your Android Phone Battery Life

Android tips and tricks: Android phones arguably superior in terms of quality, for example, the display interfaces, the number of applications that are useful and entertaining. But what about the battery resistance.

Because often download the application or activate the wireless network, it could be broken because the energy capacity of batteries drained.

There are a few Android tips you can do to make your android phone battery life can be more durable:

  1. Manage wireless networks or wireless wisely. We recommend that you do not activate the entire connectivity available on mobile phones simultaneously, for example by turning on Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth.
  2. Reduce screen brightness level. Mobile phone screen is bright indeed make a clearer. But beyond that, the higher the level of screen brightness, the greater the power output your cell phone battery.
  3. Use one feature alone to tell if there are new messages. If there is email, instant messages, short messages (SMS), or call into the Android phone, it does not need the phone rang too loudly and vibrate. Just use one of the two earlier features, sound or vibrate so that the battery is more efficient.
  4. Enabling an important email only. If you have five email accounts and everything is active, you should choose which email is the most frequently used and will be activated throughout the day. The reason, more and more applications, such as email, live streaming, radio, or an active social media at the same time, the greater the battery power is needed.
  5. Always keep a spare battery. When the battery charge, you are advised not to pull out if its capacity has not reached half. Because, if the battery has not reached 50 percent occupied and has been used again, the stored energy will be easily drained because it's still small.

Android Gallery Control

In Android the Gallery control is a selection control that displays items in a horizontal gallery. the items in the gallery appear beside each other. they can appear separated by a pre-defined space.

remember that there is a sample demo application for the gallery to download at the end of the post

we can use the gallery to display String items using a simple ArrayAdapter.
so let's see how to create a gallery that displays the word "Hello" in several languages:

the layout:
01<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
02<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
03    android:orientation="vertical"
04    android:layout_width="fill_parent"
05    android:layout_height="fill_parent"
06    >
07<TextView
08    android:layout_width="fill_parent"
09    android:layout_height="wrap_content"
10    android:text="Gallery Demo"
11    />
12    <Gallery
13    android:id="@+id/gallery"
14    android:layout_width="fill_parent"
15    android:layout_height="wrap_content"
16    android:gravity="center_horizontal"
17    android:spacing="100px"
18
19    />
20</LinearLayout>

and in the OnCreate method
01@Override
02    public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
03        super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
04        setContentView(R.layout.main);
05        gallery=(Gallery)findViewById(R.id.gallery);
06        //String array holding the values
07        String [] text=new String[]{"Hello","Hi","Alloha","Bonjour","Hallo","¡Hola"};
08        //Array adapter to display our values in the gallery control
09        ArrayAdapter<string> arr=new ArrayAdapter<string>(this, android.R.layout.simple_gallery_item, text);
10gallery.setAdapter(arr);
11}
12</string></string>

the gallery will be like this

we can increse the spacing between the items by increasing the value of android:spacing property.

we can display a scroll bar to indicate the position of the current selected item in the gallery like this:
01<Gallery
02    android:id="@+id/gallery"
03    android:layout_width="fill_parent"
04    android:layout_height="wrap_content"
05    android:gravity="center_horizontal"
06    android:spacing="100px"
07    android:scrollbars="horizontal"
08    android:scrollbarFadeDuration="0"
09    android:scrollX="100px"
10    />

setting the android:scrollbarFadeDuration="0" makes the scroll bar always visible.

The android:scrollX property defines the initial scroll offset of the scroll bar which is the initial distance that the gallery is scrolled for.

Handling Gallery Events
since the gallery is a selction Control (a adapter view) so it can register a OnItemSelectedListener to handle the selection of items within the gallery.

01final String [] text=new String[]{"Hello","Hi","Alloha","Bonjour","Hallo","¡Hola"};
02gallery.setOnItemSelectedListener(new OnItemSelectedListener() {
03
04   @Override
05   public void onItemSelected(AdapterView parent, View view,
06     int position, long id) {
07    // TODO Auto-generated method stub
08    TextView txt=(TextView)findViewById(R.id.txt);
09    txt.setText(text[position].toString());
10   }
11
12   @Override
13   public void onNothingSelected(AdapterView parent) {
14    // TODO Auto-generated method stub
15
16   }
17  });

now the final step is to add two navigation buttons: Next and Previous to navigate throught the items in the gallery.
the layout is gonna be like this:
01<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
02<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
03    android:orientation="vertical"
04    android:layout_width="fill_parent"
05    android:layout_height="fill_parent"
06    >
07<TextView
08    android:layout_width="fill_parent"
09    android:layout_height="wrap_content"
10    android:text="Gallery Demo"
11    android:id="@+id/txt"
12    />
13    <Gallery
14    android:id="@+id/gallery"
15    android:layout_width="fill_parent"
16    android:layout_height="wrap_content"
17    android:gravity="center_horizontal"
18    android:spacing="100px"
19    android:scrollbars="horizontal"
20    android:scrollbarFadeDuration="0"
21    android:scrollX="100px"
22    />
23    <LinearLayout
24     android:layout_width="fill_parent"
25     android:layout_height="wrap_content"
26     android:orientation="horizontal"
27     android:layout_marginTop="5px"
28     >
29     <Button
30     android:text="Previous"
31     android:layout_width="wrap_content"
32     android:layout_height="wrap_content"
33     android:id="@+id/btnPrev"
34     android:onClick="onClick"
35      />
36      <Button
37     android:text="Next"
38     android:layout_width="wrap_content"
39     android:layout_height="wrap_content"
40     android:id="@+id/btnNext"
41     android:onClick="onClick"
42      />
43
44    </LinearLayout>
45
46</LinearLayout>

now in order to keep track of the index of the currently selected item we need to define two variables
1//Variable to store the number of items in the gallery
2 int ItemsInGallery=0;
3 int CurrentIndex=0;

and the navigation buttons click handlers:
01@Override
02 public void onClick(View v) {
03  // TODO Auto-generated method stub
04  switch(v.getId())
05  {
06  case R.id.btnNext:
07   //Increase the index
08   CurrentIndex++;
09   //if reached the end of the gallery, then start from the first item
10   if(CurrentIndex>ItemsInGallery-1)
11    CurrentIndex=0;
12   gallery.setSelection(CurrentIndex,true);
13   txt.setText(String.valueOf(CurrentIndex));
14   break;
15  case R.id.btnPrev:
16   //Decrease the index
17   CurrentIndex=CurrentIndex-1;
18   //If reached the first item, then return to the last item in the gallery
19   if(CurrentIndex<0)
20    CurrentIndex=ItemsInGallery-1;
21   gallery.setSelection(CurrentIndex,true);
22   txt.setText(String.valueOf(CurrentIndex));
23   break;
24  }
25 }
